We need your HELP! Did you know that there are children going HUNGRY right here in Gaston County? We need your help! For $25 a month you can ease this problem and feed many of these hungry families. There is a child waiting for you to help feed them in these times of hardships. You can donate on-line at our website or mail to Gastonia Street Ministry, PO Box 853, Gastonia, NC 28053.

We are asking you to become a ministry partner with Gastonia Street Ministry by making a monthly contribution of food, money and people to help us provide for the homeless and those without food in our County. No amount is too little or too large as we try to meet the needs of this growing problem. We are reminded when Jesus fed the multitude he didn't go to the Government but commanded the Church to Feed the Hungry. Please help us feed the children.  We are in desperate need of nonperishable and perishable food items.  We have families that are hungry and waiting.

Gastonia Street Ministry is a nonprofit 501©(3) organization with a mission to simply feed the homeless & hurting families, and provide support and temporary housing to citizens in need.

Gastonia Street Ministry was established February 23, 1999 in response to the need to help feed the growing homeless populations in Gaston County. The general purpose was to collect, distribute and prepare food for the homeless and hungry people that came to our doors. The focus soon included temporary shelter and clothing for those in need. Since the start of this project, we have provided thousands of meals, to 150 - 200 people per week, with groceries and countless persons with temporary living.

"Blessed is he who considers the poor;
The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble."
- Psalms 41:1

On Monday, July 20, 2015, Remmant Ministry and Gastonia Street Ministry hosted a “Feed the Hungry Children” event to raise awareness for the hungry children in our area. Sean and Sarah Harrington organized the event at the Gastonia Street Mission and the parking lot of Sunpath Counseling. Outside, the guests were given flip-flops and sunscreen. The children played games and had special appearances by the Gastonia Fire Department and Gastonia Police Department. Both the Gastonia Fire Department and the Police Department gave an educational speech about what it means to be a policeman or fireman. They then gave the children a tour of the patrol car and the fire truck. The guests then went inside Gastonia Street Mission to learn about the Bible and God. For the guests who didn’t have a Bible, a Bible was given to them. After the Bible lesson, children and families were fed a hot meal. The service ended with a prize give away to the guests and every child left with a toy.

It’s for this reason we need your donations of non-perishable food and funds to help these needy families. The gifts we receive from donors help keep the ministries alive and programs like these available. If you would like to give, correspondence may be sent to the Gastonia Street Ministry and all donations are tax exempt.

A huge thank you to Sean and Sarah Harrington for organizing the event, Jarrett Taylor with Sunpath for the use of your parking area, the Charlotte Hornets, The Gordon Foundation, the Gastonia Fire Department and the Gastonia Police Department for speaking to the children and showing off their car/truck, and all the other volunteers who helped. All of this was possible with your donations, time, and help!
